I wanted the shed to be as close as reasonably possible to the prototype plans. No commercial windows were
available to match
those on the plans. A pattern was made in styrene and the windows were cast in resin and cemented to 0.010" thick clear styrene.
The windows slide in
tracks as per the prototype. The window frames, tracks and trim were made from scale stripwood.
The walls feature board-by-board construction for the stud framing and board-and-batten siding. Vertical scale 1" x 12" boards were used
with 1" x 2" batten
strips.
The roof is made from individual rafters and scale 1" x 8" boards for the planking.
The floor is made from scribed sheet stock.
A styrene master was made for the base and cast in resin.
Other than the windows and base the structure is made entirely from Kappler sheet and strip stock. |
