Here are two photos of a small depot built entirely of Kappler materials.
It was built following a plan in Model Railroader from 1988.
The N scale model currently resides on a T-Trak module that was viewed by over 100,000 people last year at various train shows all over the country.
It was constructed on the kitchen table of a firehouse during my off hours while on duty in 1989.

I have been scratch building in N scale for over thirty years.
When I began in N scale there was very little available so scratch building was the only way to provide enough structures for a layout.
