"Tårnvogna" (the tower wagon) is a maintanance of way car for
installing/fixing overhead wire. It was built in 1906 and is still in
use. It runs on the meter gauge railway "Thamshavnsbanen" in the middle
of Norway. It was a 25 km. long mining railroad transporting sulfur
and copper ore from the mines at Løkken to the port of Thamshavn.
This was
the first electric railway in Norway, and maybe the first electric
railway in the world using AC sucsessfully. It operated between 1908 and
